Forensic Medicine in Europe
Beschreibung
The first comprehensive monograph on Forensic or Legal Medicine in Europe.
The approach for this book was to invite representatives from each country of the European Union to write a report on their own country. The editors emphasize in their preface that, as Europe is growing together, it is also necessary to harmonize the medicolegal systems. This new publication contains articles on the situation of legal medicine in those countries being member states of the EU in 2006. This book is an important contribution to arrive at a better understanding of the historical differences between the systems of legal medicine in the European countries, but also to pave the way for future harmonization of the technical, medical and legal standards. The clearly structured texts are complemented by numerous illustrations, tables and references.
