Zusammenfassung
Der Beitrag untersucht die berufliche Handlungspraxis in der Strafrechtspflege auf Basis qualitativer Daten des PROMOTE-Projekts („Promoting integrated professional development for prison practitioners in the field of vocational excellence for offender reintegration“). Ziel ist es, mithilfe qualitativer Methoden, die auf das Verstehen und Erklären des Untersuchungsgegenstandes ausgerichtet sind, das in Experteninterviews, Fokusgruppen und Online-Befragungen gesammelte berufliche Erfahrungswissen systematisch zu ordnen und zu interpretieren. Darauf aufbauend sollen perspektivisch Kernkategorien kompetenten Handelns, Berufsprofile sowie Handlungsempfehlungen für die berufliche Bildung in der Strafrechtspflege entwickelt werden. Erste Ergebnisse aus der noch laufenden Praxisforschung werden vorgestellt.

Summary
The paper examines professional practice in criminal justice based on qualitative data from the PROMOTE project (“Promoting integrated professional development for prison practitioners in the field of vocational excellence for offender reintegration“). The aim is to use qualitative methods, which focus on understanding and explaining the subject of study, to systematically organize and interpret the professional experiential knowledge collected through expert interviews, focus groups and online surveys. Building on this, the intention is to develop core categories of competent action, professional profiles and practical recommendations for vocational training in criminal justice. Initial findings from the ongoing practice-oriented research are presented.
